Hammer not working

Every time I try caulking the hammer, it doesn’t lock in place and ends up, just slipping onto the metal part where the cap is supposed to be

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear you are having issue with your product. The die cast steel that the hammer mechanism is made from can sometime tighten up in transit and can usually be resolved with some WD-40 inserted in the gears. If your issues persist though you can email parristoys@parrismfgco.com and we can send a replacement item!
