View full detailsThe rifle is nicer than I expected for $17, but it has a "fatal" flaw. The 12-shot cap rings don't fit the cylinder! Comparing this rifle cylinder to my son's Parris revolver, the problem is obvious (wish I could post photos). The interior wall of the revolver cylinder is not a simple circle. It has small semi-circle relief cuts at each of the 12 cap positions to allow the caps to slide into place. The narrow part of the cylinder (not where the relief cuts are) measures about 30 mm (using my micrometer). The diameter from relief cut to the opposite relief cut is about 31.5 mm.
The interior wall of the rifle cylinder is a simple circle measuring about 30.5 mm. The relief cuts are missing. As a result, the cap-ring does not fit. When I try to force it to fit the cap ring does not lie flat and so it binds in the rifle and the cylinder won't turn properly. A cap fires about 1 out 10 pulls of the trigger.
We are sorry that you are having issues with this item. The caps are not a perfect fit due to this item being from a different factory than the caps. This is a limit edition item and we have other toy rifles that are better fits for our caps. In addition, this is still a great play action toy rifle. If you would like a replacement or a refund due to your issues you can email us at parristoys@parrismfgco.com. Our customer service reps will be happy to help you.
